ABSTRACT

Addressing the psycho-social support service which is being provided at Ntinda child's development center. Psychosocial problems facing orphans have been a particular concern of many counties in Africa. The study examined the psycho-social support services in the promotion and protection of the right to help orphans in the national child's development center Kampala district in Uganda. Both qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection were used to gather information to trace the factors that influence the orphan's inability to improve their psycho-social health in spite of the prevailing programs. The study found out that, there was no accurate figure for orphans in Uganda because each and every year had different numbers of orphans and the number of orphans increased and this was due to AIDS/ HIV civil wars decades in Uganda. This study also recommends the rights of orphaned children and organizations that made many contributions to fight for their rights to help the health of orphans, save children in Uganda, CWD, and government organizations like MGLSD. This requires a strong commitment from both the government and private organizations.
